June 21, 2025 -- 

Presentations included Tim Schantz on Gouverneur Morris and the Morrisania Project for recognition of the Morris grave site at St. Ann's Church in the South Bronx.  A video tour by Anthony Bonilla of St. Ann's Church.  Readings by Jonathan Krup and Dikran Tulaine of the Preamble of the Constitution, the Morris speech condemning slavery, and the Declaration of Independence.

LAFAYETTE RETURNS TO PATERSON

 "After 200 years, the Marquis de Lafayette is returning to Paterson! Please join the Paterson Museum Foundation as we welcome this hero of the American Revolution at the Paterson Great Falls on Saturday July 12th at noon, in the amphitheater at the Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park (72 McBride Avenue Extension). Additional parking is available at the Paterson Museum. "

The Museum will again be participating in culture NOW's IT HAPPENED HERE program as part of the United States’ upcoming 250th birthday to celebrate Independence Day and the 400th Anniversary of the founding of New York. Speaker symposiums at the Museum on July 3rd, 4th, and 5th will highlight three different centuries of New York's history.
